Dr. Managwu Lilian C. is a seasoned expert in the Hospitality industry, she holds a Ph.D in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike Umuahia, Abia. Complementing her formal academic achievements are an M.Sc. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Imo State University and an MBA in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano. Beyond academic pursuits, Dr. Managwu has undergone various short courses in Hospitality and Tourism and is a certified professional trainer in Nigeria, having completed both Basic and Advanced Management Trainers Development courses at the Centre for Management Development, Lagos.
With over 25 years of industry work experience, she served as the lead Consultant/Trainer with Strand Hospitality Consulting in portHarcourt, River State. Currently a Lecturer at Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana Afikpo, and the National President of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN), Dr. Managwu Lilian is dedicated to fostering positive growth and development in the Nigerian Hospitality and Tourism industry.

Dr. Yunusa is Executive Director of Operations, a co-founder of APM Hospitalities Limited that transformed into Compass Hotels and Suites Limited. He believes on brand management; he’s an hotelier and a marketer. He has more than 35 years of Industry experience with emphasis on food and beverages, he has substantial Nigerian experience with hospitality properties of all types including Hotels, Hospital catering, fast food mixed – use resort development, hotel condominiums and Internal ownerships. His advisory experience includes asset management and developments, due diligence, feasibility Studies, Valuation, Marketing and Financing for Hospitality Business. He served as External Examiner and Moderator on Hospitality and Tourism management for Federal Polytechnic Auchi, Edo State, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta, Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Federal Polytechnic Bida Niger State a member of NBTE Accreditation Panel for Tourism and Hospitality Programme. He was employed at Transcorp Hilton Abuja as management Trainee and worked through every hotel department for over25 years; he moved to an Indigenous hotel property management Company Nicon Hotels Group-specializing on hotel management, Consultancy and Technical support, project development, hospitality IT Solutions and hospitality Equipment Vendors. He worked as Area Food and Beverage Manager, Banquet and convention manager at Transcorp Hilton and rose to the position of manager Operations and he headed the team in opening of more than 10 new Hotel properties in Nigeria. He was trained at Nairobi Hilton, Kenya at African training centre, Middle East Hilton Training centre in Cairo Egypt and trained at Hilton Johannesburg South Africa as Senior Food and Beverages Managers course. He was Managing Director (2006 – 2009) at Palm Garden hotel Makurdi. He has Honorary Doctorate/Fellowship Award from Chartered Institute of Human Resources of Nigeria. he’s a fellow centre for public service and productivity of Nigeria, He’s a Fellow in Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria; former Membership Secretary Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria and Vice President Federation of Tourism Association in Nigeria, Vice – Chairman Tourism Advisory Committee to FCT Minister of State. He has postgraduate Diploma in management Technology from Federal University of Technology Minna and Master’s Degree in Marketing from National Open University of Nigeria Lagos. He’s a fellow from Institute of procedures and compliance management of Nigeria (IPCM) and member of Governing Board of (SAFA) Security Agenda for Africa as grass root organization and a member of NECA Nigeria Employers consultative association of Nigeria, he’s a certified Management Consultant of Nigeria, He’s a fellow institute of Management Consultant of Nigeria.
Dr. IBRAHIM ADESIN KUKOYI -2nd Vice President

Dr. Ibraheem Adesina Kukoyi
Ibraheem A. KUKOYI hails from Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, born to the family of Late Alhaj R.A and Alhaja S.A Kukoyi. He attended N.N.P.C Nursery and Primary School, Mosimi, Sagamu, Ogun State from 1987 to 1995, he proceeded to Methodist Comprehensive College, Ijoku, Sagamu and Ahmadiyya High School, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State between 1995 to 2000 and 2000 to 2001 respectively. He was admitted to the prestigious Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State in the year 2003 for his Bachelor’s Degree where he graduated with a second class honours (upper-division) in the Department of Home and Hotel Management in the year 2008. Dr. Kukoyi served as a National Youth Service Corps Member in the Nutrition and Dietetics Department of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State. He was admitted to the Postgraduate School of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti in the year 2010 where he was awarded a Professional Master’s Degree in Recreation and Tourism. He also attended Nigeria’s premier University; the University of Ibadan, Oyo State from the year 2012 to 2014 for an Academic Master’s Degree in Tourism and Development where he graduated with a PhD. grade. He was admitted back into the Postgraduate College of the University of Ibadan for his PhD. programme in Tourism and Development and he graduated in the year 2021.
Ibraheem A. KUKOYI (PhD.) started his career as an academician at the prestigious Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Ekiti State where he was employed as a Graduate Assistant into the Department of Tourism and Events Management in the year 2010. He rose through the rank to the position of a Lecturer II before he voluntarily resigned from the service of ABUAD to join Africa’s foremost University of Agriculture; the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in the year 2015. Dr. Kukoyi is currently serving FUNAAB as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism.
Dr. Kukoyi became an International Air Transport Association (IATA) certified Tourism Professional in the year 2014 and he is also a Fellow Member of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN). His research focus is sustainable tourism development and hospitality management. He has many research output published in reputable learned local and international journals.
Ibraheem Adesina KUKOYI is happily married to Hajia Kifayah Oluwatobi (Nee Adeleye) and the marriage is blessed with lovely children and unlimited favour from Allah.

DR. MODUPEOLA OLAMIDE FALABI
FALABI is a Lecturer in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Kwara State University Malete. She joined the service of the great citadel of learning, the green university for community development and entrepreneurship in the year 2010, as Lecturer ll: She is currently a Senior Lecturer and the Acting HOD of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Kwara State University Malete. She holds a PhD and M.Sc. Degrees in Tourism and Hospitality from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti in 2017 and 2021 respectively. She also holds a BSc Degree in Hospitality and Tourism From Wesley University of Technology, Ondo State, 2015. She also holds the following Degrees: Professional Master Degree in Tourism and Recreation in Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, 2008; Post-graduate Degree (PGDE) from BUK; and she was confererred with the prestigious honour of a member of Nigerian Institute of Catering Management in Nigeria,(NlCM) 1989 and a Fellow in Hospitality and Tourism Management of Nigerian (HATMAN) respectively. ln contribution to knowledge, she has over 30 publications and scholarly articles in the field of Hospitality, Event and Tourism Management in reputable journals at local, national and international outlets. Her core strength lies in teaching, research and mentoring. She teaches at both undergraduate and post graduate levels, and has successfully supervised and graduated several undergraduate and master degree students. She has attended several relevant local and international conferences, presenting scholarly articles in most of them. In her leisure time, she loves cooking and table tennis.

Ambassador Chimezie Mike is a distinguished leader in the global hospitality and tourism industry, passionately committed to advancing hospitality and tourism education in Africa and beyond. As the Founder of Tourism Afrikania, a pioneering brand dedicated to promoting education, innovation, and professional excellence in the sector, and the Project Director of the African Hospitality and Tourism Education Summit Nigeria (AHTES), Chimezie has significantly influenced the growth and transformation of the industry across the continent.
Chimezie earned his degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), where he displayed exemplary leadership as Senator, General Secretary, Senate President, and Executive President of the National Association of Hospitality Management and Tourism Students. He also served as Chief Editor of Diplomats Magazine, a publication for Hospitality and Tourism Management students, Department of Hospitality Management and Tourism, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Port Harcourt.
Chimezie is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Leisure and Tourism Management, Chimezie’s academic and professional achievements position him as a thought leader in the field.

Chimezie has extensive industry experience, including his tenure as Tourism Manager at Business Travel Management Limited (BTM), the official representative of CWT (Carlson Wagonlit Travel) in Nigeria. At BTM, he collaborated with prominent global airlines such as Delta Airlines, Kenya Airways, and others, further establishing his expertise in travel and tourism consultancy. He is also a certified Nigerian Tourism Specialist and has completed an Advanced Train-the-Trainers Program organized by the National Institute of Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR).
In 2024, Chimezie was invited to and presented at the International Hospitality and Tourism Quiz Championship held at the Department of Aviation, Hospitality and Travel Management, Gujarat University. There, he showcased his passion for promoting hospitality and tourism education on a global scale, reinforcing his commitment to advancing the industry beyond Africa. Felicia Owende Peters is a seasoned hospitality and tourism professional with a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and enhancing industry standards through leadership and innovation. With over three decades of experience in catering and hospitality management, Felicia has held various key positions including Managing Director of Owende Catering School and Higher Catering Officer at the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory.
She is a Fellow of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HTMAN), A member of Institute of Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN) a testament to her commitment to excellence and professional development within the industry. Felicia holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University, along with advanced diplomas in Catering and Hotel Management.
Her expertise spans management, public relations, team motivation, and customer satisfaction. She is known for her creativity, organizational skills, and dedication to fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
ADEMOLA REUBEN OGBO -FINANCIAL SECRETARY

Mr. Ademola Reuben Ogbo is a seasoned professional in the hospitality industry with over two decades of hands-on experience. He holds a Master’s degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Additionally, he earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality Management from the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), Abuja.
Mr. Ogbo also holds both a Higher National Diploma (HND) and a National Diploma (ND) in Catering and Hotel Management from the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi. Over the years, he has participated in numerous professional training programs, further enhancing his expertise in the hospitality field.
Mr. Ogbo has held key positions including Food and Beverages Manager, Personnel Manager, and General Manager across various hotels within and outside the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. He currently serves as the Group General Manager of Blissy Hospitality Services Nigeria Ltd.
MRS ADETOLA OLAGUNJU – Zonal Chairlady, South West

- ‘Detola is a customer-centric Hospitality consultant with focus on quality service which at the long run yields customer satisfaction. This validates the reason behind her success in generating remarkable ROI for her clients as far as the Hotels, Apartments, Event centres and Food outlets are concerned.
- She currently works as the Founder / Managing Partner for Bien de la Treat Hospitality – a boutique hotel, apartments and tourism consultancy firm in Lagos. She was the erstwhile Chief Sales Officer cum Head of Events for Caesars Luxury Hotel in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to that, she worked as the Marketing Manager for S & S Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island Lagos. She is saddled with the responsibility of generating revenue for the hotel, increased room occupancy and clientele base. She turned the fortune of the hotel around within 6 months of joining by increasing room occupancy from 35% to 75% and replicated the same at several instances in her career journey and has since been sustaining the brand and its presence.
- She started her career with Oriental Hotel as Reservation Officer and was awarded best staff of the month within her first 3 months of joining. She was then later promoted to the role of Reservation Coordinator within the same period in the capacity she served till she left the Hotel. Adetola started her hospitality career with Eko Hotel & Suites as an Intern, which will eventually serve as the bedrock for her unflinching professionalism as she was exposed to industry best practises way early in her career.
- ‘Detola has an HND in Hospitality Management from the foremost Federal Polytechnic, Ede and a Professional Higher Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the renowned Organization of Tourism & Hospitality Management, UK aside several other certifications. Also, an Associate member of OTHM, UK and Fellow Member of the Hospitality & Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN)where she currently serves as the Chairperson for the South-west region. ‘Detola also serves as the financial Secretary for the Federation of Tourism Associations in Nigeria, FTAN, Lagos chapter.
- Passionate about impact as well as youth development in the hospitality and Tourism sector. By virtue of her position, she has remained focused on supporting students in the Hospitality sector to find a professional placement for Industrial Attachment/ SIWES as well as supporting in career growth through sensitization programmes, mentorship and organizing impactful seminars/ programmes
